Job Summary

STS Technical Services is hiring a Receiving Specialist in Ridgeland, South Carolina to oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials and goods at our manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate tracking, inventory control, and compliance with quality standards. If you have 2-4 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing slips for accuracy.
• Inspect received materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
• Record and label received items, ensuring proper documentation for inventory tracking.
• Maintain detailed receiving reports, documenting quantities, conditions, and relevant data.
• Update inventory systems to reflect accurate stock levels and received goods.
• Organize and store materials in designated locations for easy access and inventory integrity.
• Perform quality checks to confirm compliance with standards.
• Report discrepancies or quality concerns to the appropriate departments for resolution.
• Follow all safety protocols when handling materials and operating equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices for receiving and inventory management.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail to verify and document received items accurately.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and departments.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory-related role preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, receiving processes, and material handling best practices.

Working Conditions

• Work may require long periods outside of a climate-controlled environment.
• PPE required per company policy, including safety shoes, glasses, and a safety vest.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
