STS Technical Services is hiring a Quality Engineer in Brookfield, Wisconsin to support one of the region’s most respected precision machining operations. Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer will ensure the overall quality of machined parts by collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving quality-related issues, leading root cause investigations, and monitoring standards. This role is ideal for someone passionate about quality systems, Six Sigma methodology, and driving real-time process improvements within a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding production process verification and compliance
  • Lead Advanced Quality Planning activities including Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, and Control Plans
  • Develop gage plans, manage calibration, and support inspection documentation
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to minimize non-conformances and communicate quality requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and lead risk assessments
  • Utilize Six Sigma methods and data analytics to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support internal audits, quality management system (QMS) compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Interpret engineering drawings (GD&T) and ensure product meets all specifications
  • Travel as needed to support external inspections, supplier audits, and corrective action reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality and operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (open to recent or upcoming graduates)
  • 2–3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing environments, or a strong combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Minitab and other statistical tools
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Strong knowledge of QMS principles and quality auditing
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and machining processes
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel when required
