Job Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring a Manager, Powerplant On-Wing Records in Erlanger, Kentucky. This role is responsible for overseeing technical records and documentation for the company’s engines, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company policies. The position requires technical records audits, tracking powerplant compliance, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support engine removals, installations, purchases, and lease returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage technical records audits for on-wing engine records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Conduct surveillance of on-wing task performance to verify compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Powerplant Engineering and relevant departments for engine and APU records.
  • Track and record compliance for Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), modifications, shop status, and Life Limited Parts (LLPs).
  • Compile and present on-wing data reports for ADs, LLP status, Back-to-Birth (BTB) records, and shop visit documentation.
  • Assist with engine maintenance record reviews, lease returns, purchases, and phase-in/phase-out evaluations.
  • Audit and verify powerplant compliance for sales, purchases, and lease transactions, ensuring all phase-in requirements are met.
  • Manage and track engine and APU removals and installations within TRAX and other internal tracking systems.
  • Ensure proper archiving and tracking of commercial and Back-to-Birth powerplant records.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding powerplant records, including requests from Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Lessors, and Regulatory Agencies.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff responsible for maintaining powerplant records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in powerplant records administration and implementation.
  • A&P license preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of AirVault, TRAX, and AIMS systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while leading department team members.
  • Ability to travel as needed to perform asset and records management tasks.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
