Port Accounts Sales Manager

STS Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and industry-experienced Port Accounts Sales Manager to join our client’s team in Ridgeland, South Carolina. In this position, you will be directly responsible for maintaining and expanding your group of assigned port accounts to grow our client’s port sales volume and market share. You will play a crucial role in the success of our client’s growth verticals, including EV and autonomous products. The Port Accounts Sales Manager will report to the Senior Director of Sales & Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work diligently to identify prospective clients and expand sales across assigned accounts.
  • Grow EV sales through port fleets, aiming for a minimum of 40% market share of EV terminal tractors.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to leverage our client’s dealer network and Terminal Services to harness growth in the port market.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers by educating them on products through calls, presentations, and exceptional support.
  • Conduct annual or semi-annual on-site visits to review performance in depth and create paths for long-term success.
  • Track all sales activities in the company CRM system, updating account information regularly.
  • Meet and exceed all company new business sales targets.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort.
  • Manage demonstration vehicle programs and efforts.
  • Provide input for forecasts on sales and industry volume.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to face and address difficult issues and personalities.
  • Build credibility with the dealer organization.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed new sales quotas.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
  • Experience in selling or managing client relationships/business development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including frequent use of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize client visits, with excellent follow-up and follow-through skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel overnight 15-25% of the time.

Desired Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with tracking client lifecycle in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Superior communication and negotiating skills.
