Position Overview

STS Technical Services is hiring a Non-Conforming Material (NCM) Lead for the night shift in York, Pennsylvania. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing workflow efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an NCM team, providing guidance, motivation, and support.
• Ensure safety policies and standard work procedures are followed.
• Oversee inventory management, maintaining records and advising on stock needs.
• Set expectations, track NCM metric inputs, and ensure team adherence to performance goals.
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding of new team members.
• Communicate deadlines, goals, and performance expectations across the team.
• Develop strategies to enhance efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Maintain 5S organization principles, ensuring workspaces meet company standards.
• Act as a liaison between supervisors, suppliers, and team members, resolving inquiries and escalations effectively.
• Generate reports on team performance, objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support to the NCM Supervisor and step in during their absence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to motivate, train, and support team members.
• Experience in inventory control, quality assurance, and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology and ability to maintain high workplace standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work night shifts with some required overtime and shift extensions.
