Contract Position
STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled M109 Paladin FST (Field Service Technician) to provide expert technical support for M109 Paladin systems in Poland. This crucial role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues in the field, while also serving as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and division management. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with M109 Paladin systems and be able to assist in project planning, scheduling, and provide input on design changes to engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues: Identify and address minor technical issues in the field, ensuring all problems are documented and corrective actions are communicated to customers.
- Documentation and Procedures: Develop and implement procedures, documenting problems and providing recommended corrective actions to customers.
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Assist in the planning, estimating, and scheduling of required personnel and equipment for field service projects.
- Design Recommendations: Provide valuable input on recommended design changes based on system deficiencies and real-world feedback.
- System Assembly and Maintenance: Assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
- Customer & Supplier Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and division management, addressing schedules, technical issues, and administrative matters.
- Field Service Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving sensitive field service issues, such as scheduling conflicts and funding concerns with customers.
- Pre-Overhaul Inspections: Participate in pre-overhaul inspections and assist in the preparation of discrepancy reports.
- Logistical Functions: Maintain configuration control databases and manage logistical functions for assigned field service projects.
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience working with M109 Paladin systems.
Experience Preferred
- Previous experience in troubleshooting technical issues, developing procedures, and communicating corrective actions to customers.
- Proven experience in planning, estimating, and scheduling field service projects.
- Involvement in analyzing system deficiencies and recommending design changes.
- Experience in assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing products to meet customer specifications.
- Experience in resolving sensitive field service issues related to scheduling conflicts, funding concerns, and other customer matters.
- Prior participation in pre-overhaul inspections and preparation of discrepancy reports.
- Experience as a point of contact with customers, suppliers, and division management regarding technical and logistical matters.
- Experience in handling configuration control databases and managing logistical functions for field service projects.
Education Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
