Logistic Tool Lead

STS Aviation Services, the leading UK MRO provider, is rapidly growing and seeking new team members to join our journey. As a Logistics Tool Lead at our Newquay Hangar, you will play a key role in providing day-to-day logistic and tooling support to both line and base maintenance operations. Whether working on day or night shifts, you’ll be integral to ensuring smooth, efficient operations and supporting maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to STS logistic processes and identify potential improvements.
• Conduct internal logistic assurance checks per the STS program.
• Support tooling management and parts quarantine procedures.
• Prepare and conduct handover briefs at the end of each shift.
• Escalate concerns to the Logistics Manager or shift lead as required.
• Participate in daily work allocation briefs and customer meetings.
• Conduct on-the-job staff training and ensure staff training requirements are met.
• Manage KPI reporting during periods of absence.
• Attend planning and review meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in logistics and tooling support, particularly in an aviation environment.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts or as part of a team during day shifts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with risk assessments and adherence to safety protocols.
• Experience in using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is a plus.
• Leadership skills to deputize for the Logistic Team Lead during absences.
