Inventory Control Specialist

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels, performing cycle counts and audits, and ensuring the accuracy of all inventory data. This role plays a key part in preventing stock discrepancies, reducing waste, and maintaining operational flow. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys solving problems related to logistics and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and maintain accurate inventory levels across all systems
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical counts
• Input inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, and adjustments
• Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality
• Assist with inventory planning to avoid overstock or stockouts
• Monitor inventory turnover and help manage reorder points
• Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to resolve inventory issues
• Assist with inventory control process improvements and best practices
• Prepare inventory reports and assist during internal audits
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
• Basic understanding of inventory systems and warehouse processes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Willingness to work in a warehouse setting and perform physical tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in a physically active environment

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred
• Experience with inventory management systems is a plus

Working Conditions:

• Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments
• PPE must be worn at all times on production floors
• Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching may be required for extended periods
