In-Flight Services Buyer (REQ# 38987)

STS Technical Services is hiring an In-Flight Services Buyer in Atlanta. This role supports Delta’s Onboard Services Logistics team, overseeing the planning, purchasing, and distribution of products used in the passenger cabin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform supply chain process engineering to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve supply processes and lead cross-organizational projects.
• Manage supply planning, assess supplier reliability, and adjust inventory levels based on operational changes.
• Lead product launch plans and final inventory setup.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements for reduced lead times and waste.
• Train suppliers on Delta’s replenishment methods and tools.
• Ensure all actions align with safety-conscious behaviors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• 18-24 months of experience in materials, inventory, or demand planning is required.
• 12+ months of purchasing or buying experience.
• Strong analytical skills with 18-24 months of data analysis experience.
• High proficiency in Excel and database reporting tools.
• Project management or organizational improvement experience.
• Knowledge of SAP and Lean methodologies is preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-15%).
