GSE Technicians

STS Aviation Services is hiring Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technicians in Melbourne, Florida. This role involves troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining aircraft ground support equipment, as well as basic building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair GSE equipment and building maintenance systems per company and manufacturer standards.
• Use technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
• Record work performed and assume responsibility by signing off.
• Maintain, service, and repair equipment with internal combustion engines, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Comply with safety regulations, including hazardous material handling and disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of equipment maintenance experience (preferably with airlines or MROs).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Proficiency with tools, gauges, and instruments.
• Working knowledge of hazardous materials handling and disposal.
• Must have basic hand tools and a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain an Airport/SIDA badge.

Desired Characteristics:

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and work from ladders for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work with small parts and hand tools.
• Correctable near and far vision and conversational-level hearing.
• Must follow safety protocols and company guidelines, including the use of tools and maintaining cleanliness.
