Field Service Technician (Bradley Fighting Vehicles)

STS Technical Services is hiring Field Service Technicians to support Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) field service operations at Fort Hood, Texas. This role involves troubleshooting minor technical issues, documenting corrective procedures, and assisting customers in resolving field-related challenges. The ideal candidate will have general mechanic experience, with a strong preference for those familiar with heavy equipment maintenance and BFV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot minor technical issues; recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Document mechanical problems, develop corrective procedures, and communicate solutions to customers.
• Assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling personnel and equipment for field service projects.
• Analyze system deficiencies and provide input on recommended design changes.
• Assemble, install, test, maintain, and repair products to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Resolve field service issues, including scheduling conflicts and funding concerns.
• Conduct pre-overhaul inspections and prepare discrepancy reports.
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and management on scheduling, technical issues, and administrative matters.
• Maintain configuration control databases and manage logistical functions for field service projects.

Required Qualifications

• General mechanic experience (heavy equipment mechanic background preferred).
• High school diploma (HS Diploma) required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Heavy equipment maintenance experience.
