STS Aviation Services UK, a leading player in the MRO industry, is expanding rapidly, and we are excited to bring in a Deputy Tooling Manager to join our team in Birmingham. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the tooling data held on PROMRO
  • Support the Tooling Manager acting as he acts as the first point of contact for all Tooling investigations and questions. Record all requests and conduct appropriate work to provide solutions.
  • Lead on conducting data cleansing activity when required and support the management regime to ensure data standards are maintained.
  • Manage data in adherence to supply chain KPI and associated performance measures.
  • Facilitate the company’s ability to identify the correct tool stock levels held at each location.
  • Conduct regular reviews of tool stock and condition held at each location.
  • Lead on local weekly tooling management checks across all sites and implement corrective action where necessary.
  • Report findings of all checks to the Tooling Manager.
  • Identify process development opportunities.
  • Assist in initiating and conducting regular tool assurance inspections, report findings to logistic managers and communicate across all sites.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Significant demonstrable experience of Supply Chain operations
  • UK Full driving licence
  • A good understanding of process development within the Supply Chain sector
  • A good understanding of calibration management principles and processes
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment
  • Leadership skills and ability to take the initiative and manage workload.
  • Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles.
  • Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers both personally and through a team
  • Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
