B1 Aircraft Mechanic (Contractor)

STS Aviation Services, the leading UK MRO, is rapidly growing and looking for five experienced B1 Aircraft Mechanics to join our Birmingham Hangar team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our success while playing a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of aircraft safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of customer aircraft, including both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Accurately record all maintenance activities and ensure timely, precise man-hour bookings as per STS and customer-specific processes.
• Deliver the highest standards of maintenance, ensuring timely completion of work to exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by adhering to all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH standards.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in aircraft repair, overhaul, and maintenance, particularly on large commercial aircraft.
• Authorization: Applicants must have current authorization to work in the UK.
• Background Check: A valid DBS or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of aircraft systems and previous live aircraft mechanical experience.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, coupled with a professional and proactive approach.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with MS Office applications.
