STS Technical Services, a leader in staffing and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Airframe Structural Analysis Engineer for an on-site position in Fort Worth, Texas. This role focuses on advanced engineering projects, contributing to innovative aerospace development.
Position Summary:
As an Airframe Structural Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for performing detailed finite element analysis (FEA) across a variety of materials and assembly configurations. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to complex aerospace components.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct static strength, stiffness, and stability margin analysis for various aerospace components.
- Develop detailed Finite Element Models (FEM) using industry-standard modeling practices and tools.
- Address complex structural and loading environments through classical analysis techniques and free body diagrams.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to support component production and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure design compliance with engineering specifications and participate in cross-functional teams to meet program lifecycle objectives.
- Advance aerospace engineering practices through innovative research, technical compliance, and robust analysis capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in airframe stress analysis, with proven expertise visible on resume.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6/3DX; familiarity with other CAD tools like Pro/E, Unigraphics, or SolidWorks is advantageous.
- Experience with analytical tools or codes such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, and Excel Visual Basic for executing custom macros or result processing.
- Strong background in NASTRAN, and at least one analysis pre/post-processor like PATRAN, HyperWorks, or Femap.
- Detailed knowledge in the product development of structural components such as castings, precision forgings, and composites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with PLM software, particularly ENOVIA.
- Previous involvement in cross-functional engineering programs.
