Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker (12-Month Contract)

Position Summary:

STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing and seeking experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Workers to join our team on a contract basis. As part of our Manchester Hangar team, you will play a crucial role in the transformation of the B777 Passenger to Freighter project. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform major structural repairs and modifications.
• Remove major aircraft structural sections, ensuring precision and adherence to stress jacking protocols.
• Work to fine tolerances and uphold high standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Adhere to company and manufacturer procedures.
• Implement modifications from drawings and procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

• Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production, or live aircraft experience.
• Ideally, 5 years of live aircraft and structures experience.
• Demonstrable experience in an aircraft modification/production environment.
• Experience implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications.
• Proficient in reading manufacturers’ drawings and SRMs.
• Excellent hand skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to take full ownership of tasks.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
