STS Aviation Services is rapidly expanding and seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our Manchester Hangar team. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence as we continue to grow as the UK’s leading MRO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain full compliance with EASA Part 145 and national regulations, staying updated on any changes.
  • Audit Program Implementation: Assist the Quality Manager with developing and executing the Part 145 audit program.
  • Conduct Quality Audits: Perform scheduled and unannounced quality audits to ensure maintenance activities meet all regulatory standards.
  • Reporting and Resolution: Report findings to the Quality Manager and leadership while ensuring appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Staff Authorization Management: Support the management of the Part 145 certifying staff authorization system.
  • Independent System Monitoring: Plan and execute system monitoring activities, audit the design organization’s efficiency, and manage corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education & Training:
    • Formal aviation engineering training.
    • Training in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
  • Experience:
    • Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 and its practical application.
    • Previous experience as an aviation auditor and in aircraft maintenance.
    • Understanding of the engineering authorization process.
    • Familiarity with Part 21 requirements and the Design Organisation Handbook.
    • Thorough knowledge of procedure UK.DOP-01 ‘Independent System Monitoring’.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Eligibility to qualify for UK airside security passes, per DFT regulations.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and abroad.
