STS Technical Services is hiring a CDL Driver / Fueler (Night Shift) to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. About the Role
As a CDL Driver / Fueler, you will safely operate a commercial tractor-trailer rated at 80,000 lbs. You’ll be responsible for transporting materials and equipment, ensuring secure loading, and maintaining all required driver logs and inspections. This is a night shift role that demands reliability, attention to detail, and a strong safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer at all times
- Maintain compliance with all DOT and federal/state driving regulations
- Conduct daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
- Maintain accurate Driver Logs in accordance with federal regulations
- Load and unload equipment safely and securely
- Verify loads are properly secured before transport
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups
- Ensure work environment meets safety and cleanliness standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- TWIC card required
- Current medical card
- Hazmat certification is required
- Minimum 2 years of flatbed truck driving experience preferred
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and traffic laws
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle
