Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics (Contract)

STS Aviation Services is rapidly expanding and we are looking for experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team at our Manchester Hangar.

Important: Applicants MUST be either citizens of the United Kingdom or possess valid work authorization for the UK, with at least two years remaining before the expiration date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove major aircraft structural sections while ensuring stress jacking.
• Follow manufacturer’s drawings and SRMs to implement modifications.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety at all times.
• Work to fine tolerances and ensure all work meets high-quality standards.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years’ aircraft and structures experience.
• Strong experience in an aircraft modification/production environment.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer drawings and procedures.
• Excellent hand skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ownership of tasks.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
